Chef de Cuisine Frederic Pierrel uses the terroir philosophy, meaning "of the earth." Any night of the year finds Chef Frederic mastering French-California cuisine using locally grown produce in starters such as a seasonal wild mushroom appetizer. The best world-wide seafood selection in Mammoth Lakes offers 4-5 fish selections artfully prepared each evening. Main courses such as elk medallions pair perfectly with your selection from the vast wine cellar. Decadent desserts may include a wild blueberry tart or a lavender créme brulee. Fresh market menu items rotate daily according to the season.
Critical Acclaim
The Lakefront is deservedly the most acclaimed restaurant in Mammoth. Both the restaurant and chef have garnered praise from such noted sources as Bon Appetit, Sunset Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times and the San Diego Union-Tribune.
