Summer and Fall
- Boat and canoe rentals are available at the lodge.
- Fish from Tamarack's front yard. The angling at Twin Lakes is some
of the best in the Eastern Sierra. A strong stream flow assures pristine
waters and an excellent food supply for the population of native brown
and brook trout. The Town of Mammoth Lake's fish stocking program
provides a steady supply of fish, ranging from standard-size stockers
to trophy-size rainbows from nearby Alpers Ranch. When fishing season
opens in April, Twin Lakes are often the first high country lakes with
open water.
- Hike one of the many trails in the nearby Lakes Basin--treks range
from an easy mile around Horseshoe Lake to five strenuous miles
up Duck Pass.
- Sierra Star
Golf Course is located nearby in the town of Mammoth Lakes.
Open approximately June through October.
- Mammoth
Mountain Bike Park has 90 miles of single-track trails. Ride
Lakes Trail from the top of Mammoth Mountain down to Twin Lakes
at Tamarack.
